I had the pleasure of being able to go to leopard days in Homesville, OH for a few days. Attendance wasn't as good as I thought/hoped it would have been. I got to meet some great people and hear about their leopards. I attended the meeting and nothing really got discussed other than the location/date of next years hunt and the officers. I put my plott in the bench show and the field trial but we didn't win. He is a champion and he showed well with the help of Erin McGee but there was some stiff competition and just wasn't his day. Next years hunt will be in Flora,IL so I don't think I'm going to make it next year.
Chris and I enjoyed it , even though we brought blueticks to the leopard event lol. Maybe next time I'll have some leopards to take. Everyone was nice it was good seeing old friends. Our female bluetick took best of breed and our male (Off our breeding owned by a good friend but currently residing with us) did well in the field trial . Our friend who has one of our blue pups also participated in the field trial with her. She did well for her first event. The blues treed one pleasure hunting the night before. I recently got a female pup off Jason Keens two dogs. She ran the track a little and was smelling up the tree at 5 months old I didnt think that was too bad. I will be getting a pup off Brandon soon. Excited to be back into my leopards even though I'm really enjoying the blue dogs too. The pup from Brandon will be run on bobcat or bear. Chris and I finally have the time to really push some dogs.
