link Today I was out looking for tracks, snow is rock hard in the morning and softens up around 11 . Most of the time I just road the dogs because their noses are better than my eyes, hahaha. Today was no different, I roared them about 7 miles and nothing so I was headed to another spot to try when I spotted some muddy foot prints on the snow bank. It was a female and three kittens. I dumped the pups and they took them 4 miles and a quick 100 yard jump race to a tree. After getting to their tree and looking at the female I started walking them back the way they came from. I noticed Dangit really smelling the base of a tree. Looking up into it was a cute little lion trying to stay as still as possible. After taking pictures we continue on back down the trail. Sherlock sounded off followed by Huckleberry and a fast 80 yard run to the last tree that held 2 more little lions. I then found the kill that was just made, a little yearling buck. Perfect day.
